The framework that keeps Funaba fair, safe and consistent worldwide.
The World Funaba Federation maintains a single, unified set of rules governing competition, conduct, grading and officiating across all member nations.
Bouts are contested within defined weight categories for senior and junior divisions. Matches are scored by certified judges under the supervision of a WFF-appointed referee, following the official scoring criteria.
| Division | Men | Women |
|---|---|---|
| Senior | −60, −67, −73, −81, +81 kg | −53, −57, −62, −67, +67 kg |
| Junior | −51, −55, −59, −63, +63 kg | −47, −51, −55, −59, +59 kg |
Practitioners progress through a graded belt system. Black-belt certification and above is issued and verified centrally by the WFF to maintain a common international standard.
