As the birthplace of Funaba, India — and Manipur in particular — holds a special place in the sport. The Funaba Federation of India develops athletes from grassroots to elite level and hosts the National Funaba Championship each year.
With headquarters in Imphal and a regional office in Mumbai, the federation coordinates state associations across the country and leads the preservation of Funaba’s heritage.
